Can we just agree, this housing market is nuts! Homes are selling in a matter of days and going $30k+ over asking price. It can be hard being a buyer in this market, but it doesn't have to be.
As a buyers agent it's my job to set expectations for my clients. Homes are being listed under market value to drive up prices and bring on bidding wars. That can be scary to a buyer whose expecting to walk into a normal fall market... but this is no normal market.
If you're on the hunt for a home expect a bidding war. Make sure to hire an agent who watches the market constantly, because you need to see the home as soon as it hits. Be quick, be diligent and don't be afraid. Trust that your realtor knows what they're doing, just like my clients and new friends that I welcomed to their first home trusted me!
